Dairyland

Dairyland is based in Wisconsin, hence the name, but sells auto insurance nationwide. Dairyland was started in 1953 by a University of Wisconsin–Madison professor to help  inexperienced drivers, those with poor driving records or those who had other issues making it difficult to obtain auto insurance.
